Electric power system mainly comprises of generation, transmission and distribution system. The distribution system is one of the crucial systems to ensure the deliverability of electric power to end-user.

The distribution system is a complex network, as it encounters different challenges, mainly due to the rising penetration of distributed generations. For controlling, analyzing, managing and further studying, modeling of the distribution system is important.

In this paper distribution system modeling will be explained. Before proceeding to the modeling of main components, the distribution system will be discussed to understand distribution system modeling easily. Then distribution system modeling will be presented.
